Friends, why do you think the secular world hates Christians?
“For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.” -John 3:20
They have suppressed the truth in unrighteousness (Romans 1:18-24) and are in rebellion against the God they know and deny. They have been given over to their depraved natures (Romans 1:28-31).
They have replaced the only true and intellectually defensible worldview – the one revealed in Scripture and through creation and ultimately Christ (Col 2:3-4) – with clever arguments built upon lies.
This is why – because we stand in the way of their deception.
We must not be ashamed of the Gospel (Mark 8:38) nor be on the defensive. The secular worldview cannot justify or explain logic, morality, or science – it totally lacks the preconditions for the intelligibility of knowledge. They steal from the God they deny in order to prosecute their wicked case. Don’t let them.
They cannot condemn theft, or murder, or anything – there is no such thing as evil in their worldview, though they pretend otherwise. They offer opinions backed up and enforced by force – might makes right – and that is why they do not and cannot persuade.
They have no standard to measure by except that which they invent.
We have the only standard that is true and reliable – Christ. He is Lord and King.
There are godly men standing against the tide. Participate in the Kingdom and stand boldly against the wicked. It is our calling and mandate, for the glory of God!
